Korean Herbal Peel

What does Herbal Active Peel Treat?

Pigmentation Sun Damage Enlarged or Blocked Pores Congestion  Scarring Redness Age Spots Lines and Wrinkles

What to expect during treatment?

DAY 1 - 2: The initial application of the peeling treatment requires approximately one hour, during which the epidermis remains structurally intact upon completion. At this stage, noticeable improvement is observed, with the skin exhibiting a luminous appearance comparable to the erythema and glow seen post-exercise. A sensation of dermal tension may occur, and upon palpation, residual herbal particulates embedded within the stratum corneum can be detected. These particulates gradually biodegrade over a period of 48 hours, releasing bioactive constituents such as vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and other beneficial compounds into the epidermis.

DAY 3 - 4: By the third day post-treatment, increased skin tightness is typically experienced, accompanied by potential epidermal desquamation. The timing and extent of peeling are variable and influenced by individual physiological factors such as metabolic rate and overall health. If desquamation does not manifest by day three, it is anticipated to commence on day four, generally initiating in the perioral region and extending progressively to other facial areas within 24 hours. During this phase, patients are advised to minimize social exposure to optimize skin recovery.

DAY 5 - 6:  On the fifth day, a post-treatment session is conducted to remove residual exfoliated skin, unveiling the newly regenerated epidermis. A vitamin-enriched mask is subsequently applied, delivering essential nutrients to support dermal repair and fortification. Cutaneous improvement continues progressively over the subsequent 21 days, achieving optimal results approximately four weeks post-treatment. Patients may opt for additional treatments at this stage if desired, as there is no restriction on the number of peel procedures permissible. It is crucial to note that individual variations in dermal response to the treatment are expected. Furthermore, contraindications exist for certain dermatologic or systemic conditions, and a pre-treatment consultation will be conducted to ensure patient suitability and maximize therapeutic efficacy.

Prepare for your herbal peel by following these steps

To prepare for your herbal peel treatment in a way that honors your skin's natural balance and promotes a smoother recovery, follow these holistic guidelines:

  • Avoid taking antibiotics or medications that could interfere with your skin's renewal process.

  • Pause the use of active or potent skincare products at least 7 days before your treatment. This includes AHAs, BHAs, chemical exfoliants, retinol, and similar products that could increase skin sensitivity.

  • If you are treating your facial area, ensure to wash your hair beforehand, as it is important to keep the treated skin dry during the recovery phase.

  • For gentlemen, a light trimming of facial hair is recommended, but refrain from shaving immediately before your session to avoid irritation.

  • Perform any waxing, threading, shaving, laser treatments, or similar procedures at least 7 days prior to your peel to allow the skin to fully settle.

  • If you’ve recently received dermal fillers or Botox injections, give your skin adequate time to adjust by waiting 4–6 weeks before proceeding with the peel.

These thoughtful preparations will help your skin embrace the treatment in the most supportive and gentle way, setting the stage for radiant, renewed skin. Remember, nurturing your body and mind during this process is just as essential for holistic well-being.
